Nothing demonstrates the power of a process better than a satisfied customer. Shore Medical Center is a satisfied customer and must be commended for rejecting the traditional non-accountability development model and replacing it with Scarborough Properties as the single source project developer.

One contract; from the beginning  every lawyer, civil engineer, architect, planner, professional consultant and contractor worked directly for Scarborough just as they do when they develop buildings for their own account.  Scarborough worked at risk for the entire process (10 years) and was paid when a predetermined milestone was passed. Avoided was situation where a lawyer, architect or construction manager controlled the strategy while having virtually no financial risk. Shore’s courage and forward thinking approach saved them over $ 10,000,000.00 in direct development cost over the course of the project.  The development process was managed such that there was minimal disruption to Shore’s ongoing operations on a personnel level. Sadly this hidden cost is often not factored into the overall savings when institutions consider a significant development. In fact this is one, if not the most important cost. Your people are your business and their time must be kept as a precious resource used by the development team only when necessary.

The Shore Memorial Hospital or Shore Medical Center, is now 100% complete and operating. Developed under a single contract with Shore Memorial Hospital, Scarborough Properties controlled design, planning, litigation, site and building construction.

Scarboroughs $107,000,000 contract saved Shore Memorial Hospital over $10,000,000 as compared to peer projects. Shore's embrace of the "single source" paid huge dividends for this thriving non-profit hospital.

Berlin Township Urgent Care - Berlin Township, NJ - September 2014

Located in front or newly renovated Super Wal-Mart on Rt.73 Berlin Twp. NJ. This 3700 square foot urgent care facility will have its grand opening September 2014.

What is an Urgent Care Center? How does it differ from a hospital emergency room? Urgent care generally includes minor illnesses and injuries that do not require treatment at a hospital emergency department. Care is provided on a walk-in basis; appointments are not necessary. The Urgent Care Center will provide un-scheduled, non-emergency outpatient care to patients on a walk-in basis. The Center does not treat emergencies or receive ambulances.
